⚠️ The service at Pho Hoang NYC was a major disappointment. Staff repeatedly dropped dirty utensils around our table and showed little attention to our needs throughout the meal. We specifically asked for the bean sprouts to be cooked, yet they came back completely removed. We also had to repeatedly ask for basic necessities—including the menu, forks, knives, and chopsticks. These are basic service standards that should not require repeated requests. We also felt rushed to order and pay, and our dishes were cleared while we were still eating, leaving us feeling more like we were being pushed out than welcomed as guests. For us, the food did not deliver the depth and authenticity we expect from Vietnamese cuisine, and the quality was inconsistent. The flavors felt noticeably toned down, particularly the fish sauce, which lacked the deep, fermented character we were expecting. The bún bò Huế was decent, but the grilled pork chop with rice and fried egg was dry, tough, and poorly cooked. Overall, the food did not leave a strong impression. I love Pho! I eat here a lot! I think the Pho here is the best! However, I went today and the pho was AWFUL! Last week it was AWFUL too! I don’t know what the heck is going on here! The service is never bad but it’s also never great either. Even though gratuity is included, I always tip extra. I’m always very polite and respectful to the people that work here but they’re never nice in return.

I'm not a pho aficionado, but I liked the pho here. The broth was light and satisfying. The portion was a fair amount. The grilled chicken was also well done and recommended. There is one bathroom. It is usually pretty clean. FYI, they force an 18% gratuity. You can ask to take it off if you don't want it on the check. The service was ok, so I did not have an issues with this.

4.5 stars?! How? Service was terrible! First off, nobody cared to ask if we were ready to order. I had to wave someone down. Then we asked for hot tea and the waitress carelessly pour the tea all over our plate and napkin(see pic). No apologies or at least offer to get us new napkins. She walked away like it was normal behavior. Apparently, the gratuity is included in the bill so they don’t really care and put minimal effort. Another customer had the exact same experience(see pic). Finally, the food was just as bad, our crispy roasted pig came out cold, greasy and soggy! We did not eat it. I do NOT recommend this restaurant.

Efficient Vietnamese and Chinese BBQ restaurant. Food came out lightning face and service was efficient as well. Minimal talking. Food was good and the price was fair with good value. 3 meats with rice plus veggies was $15 plus 18% gratuity automaticly added. If you want a quick bite of authentic Chinese and or Vietnamese eats very good place to stop for a quick bite.
